Photochromic Powder is a powdered pigment manufactured using photochromic material technology. Its core principle involves absorbing ultraviolet light or light sources of specific wavelengths to induce color changes, with both pre- and post-transformation states exhibiting colored appearances. Our color-to-color photochromic materials (UV-responsive materials) display color when exposed to UV light sources such as UV lamps or sunlight. Upon removal from UV exposure, the color gradually reverts to its original state, allowing for repeated cycling.

Note: White base material is unsuitable for injection molding, as it results in very faint coloration. Particle size: 1-10μm. Maximum temperature resistance is 220°C (428°F), with optimal processing between 160-180°C (320-356°F).

Our photochromic pigment powders contain no harmful substances. Applications include light-changing frisbees, jewelry, hair clips, shoes, etc. Injection molding material: transparent resin, capable of approximately 8,000 color-reversal cycles.

Basic Information Basic color: Yellow to Red, Yellow to Orange, Yellow to Purple, Yellow to Green, Blue to Purple ect.
Particle size: 1-10 μm
Heat resistance: 220 degrees Celsius
Feature: Non-toxic, non-radioactive, non-magnetic, environmental friendly, organic pigment, can be used repeatedly, with color fast and so on.
Attention: This pigment does not react to temperature or room light, only to UV exposure.

Full color change occurs in just second when using a flash gun to 20-60 seconds in the sunlight. Some colors may take longer to fade back to completely clear than others.

The color of underneath material can’t choose too deep, generally choose transparent changing effect is best.

Photosensitive variable toner is harmless to human body, comply with SGS, such as the European toys EN71 certification toys and food packaging safety standards.
